I am having some problem with Reliance communications regarding my hand set which they say is not service related issue whereas I find that the SPC can be changed either by the concerned company or by the hand set manufacturer otherwise no unauthorised person has access to change the code. Moreover I was getting the service before I gave my set to the service provider to swap the number. I have lodged my complaint so many times with the company but all in vain. I shall be highly grateful if you could advise me whether I can take up this matter with Consumer Court or what should I do? The complaint lodged by me with Ril is detailed below:-
Letter to Reliance Communication
I am facing a great problem for the last one and half year with my hand set due to some misinformation/fault which has been done by one of your service providers and in spite of my great efforts to get it resolved, have not been able to do so. Hope you will understand the problem and help me.
The facts are as follows-
1. That I bought a LG-RD-6330 hand set from one of your distributors form Vikas Puri who was selling it in trade fair at pragati maidan in NOV-06 and was activated with No. 9313903306. I gave them copy of my ITX Permanent A/c No. The no was activated but was disconnected after app 15-20 days. REASON-Address not correct. It was not my fault at all.
I filled your CAF papers almost four to five times at Vardhman communication Shastri Nagar (2times) at RIL web world Kamla Nagar, Delhi one time and two times at RIL web world at Bhatinda (Pb) but in spite of all this the No.9313903306 was not activated.
Then I went to your distributor from whom I had purchased this hand set and took up the matter. He felt sorry saying that the address has been filled up incorrectly by their staff and rectified the details but by then the no. could not be activated as it was prepaid no. It was not my fault.
2. Then in March/April-07, I went to your dealer M/s Dixit Telecom at Keshav puram, Delhi and asked them to change my other No.9312435506 to this LG Hand set. They did it immediately and my LG 6330 set was activated with No.9312435506. I enjoyed the services on this set uninterruptedly.
3. Then in Mar/April- 08 I went to Perfect Reliance Express at Punjabi Bagh, Delhi to change my No.9312435506 to my new hand set Samsung max and my other No.9311435506 to my LG-6330 hand set. Now here lies the problem. While swapping the no's either they entered the information wrongly or what happened I don’t know but my hand set is not working since that moment. I lodged so any complaints with your company but of no use. I was directed to go to LG service centre at Multan Nagar who told me that SPC of this phone mismatch. How can this happen. My phone was working perfectly fine the moment I gave my phone to the service provider for swap. This is something which I find is at the end of your service providers who have access to the records of your company. I find it is not my fault but not able to use my hand set.
4. Recently on Nov 03, I took up the matter with your Nodal Officer Mr. Bharati who promised to look in to the matter and wanted some time to do so but in vain.
Could you please look in to the matter and help me.

This is with reference to your mail dated 12th Dec’2009, we would like to confirm you that for SPC mismatch it is not a services related issue, this is related to handset features for that you have to visit nearest Authorised service centre for assemble it.
Further, we would like to confirm you that you have to bear the charges if handset is out of warranty.
